Fun Friday Quote

From today's Examiner column by Patrick W. Gavin about cross-party dating. It's all about the perils of reds and blues in love (does that make a purple?):

"In the end, cross-party dating - ignoring the leather coat-cutting, "liberals don't shower" horror stories - may be a net plus for couples. Besides, we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that, ultimately, we're all 99.1 percent chimpanzee anyway, so our primal instincts for companionship probably don't care about so-and-so's position on House Resolution 18509."
